How we work

Editorial Ethics & Standards

The rules we hold ourselves to — so you know what our byline is worth.

Trust is the only currency a newsroom has. These standards govern how CryptoCoinBeat reports on the digital-asset economy, and we expect to be held to them.

Independence

CryptoCoinBeat is reader-funded. We hold no token, run no treasury, and accept no payment to publish or to shape coverage. Commercial relationships, where they exist, never touch the newsroom and are disclosed.

Accuracy and sourcing

We prefer primary sources — on-chain data, filings, official statements and named experts. Claims that move markets are checked against more than one source. When something cannot be confirmed, we say so plainly rather than imply more certainty than we have.

Corrections

We fix errors quickly and in the open. Substantive corrections are noted on the article itself. If you spot a mistake, write to us and we will review it.

Ratings and rankings

The Ratings Desk scores services against criteria published on each table, with the weight of every axis shown and the fact each score was read from printed beside it — an attestation, a contract, a register entry, an incident record. Where a claim is self-published with nothing independent behind it, or no record exists, the axis is capped rather than given the benefit of the doubt. Nobody buys a position, a score or a mention, operators do not see a score before it publishes, and we take no affiliate commission in that section. These are records checked on a stated date, not audits or recommendations.

Conflicts of interest

Writers disclose holdings relevant to what they cover and recuse themselves where a position could reasonably affect judgement. Coverage of any asset is never a recommendation to buy or sell it.

Not financial advice

Crypto is volatile and risky. Everything we publish is journalism and education, not personalized financial, legal or tax advice. Do your own research and consult a qualified professional before acting.

Use of AI

We may use software tools to assist with research, drafting and production, but a human editor is responsible for every published story — its facts, framing and fairness.
