Highest scores on the desk

Stablecoin depositors and fintech integrators who want conservative, blue-chip-collateral Morpho vaults.

Steakhouse Financial is a DeFi advisory and risk-curation firm that designs and curates Morpho lending vaults, mostly stablecoin vaults, for fintechs, exchanges and asset managers. Its vaults power products such as Coinbase's USDC lending and partner vaults with Robinhood Chain, Grove, Ethena and Safe. It also curates Kamino lending vaults on Solana.

Sentora, formerly IntoTheBlock, is an institutional DeFi platform offering strategy design, risk management and vault curation. It curates stablecoin vaults for issuers and platforms such as PayPal (PYUSD), Ripple (RLUSD) and Kraken on Morpho, Euler and Kamino, and runs BoringVault strategies, including Ether.fi-related ones.

Honest, free protocol and chain data

The most transparent dataset in the sector: open methodology, open-source adapters and no paywall on the core numbers. It documents what it double-counts, which is more than most paid products do.

How we score

The desk records facts, not impressions: what is published, who verified it, what is on the incident record, and what is missing.

01

Every score cites its source

Each axis carries the fact it was read from — an attestation, a contract address, a regulator's register, an incident record — printed next to the bar it produced. If we cannot point at something checkable, we do not score it.

02

Weights and bands are published

Each table states its axes, what each one measures and where those facts come from. The overall figure is the weighted mean of the bars, computed rather than chosen, and the bands are the same across every table.

03

Absence of evidence is scored as absence

A claim published by the operator with nothing independent behind it is capped in the self-reported band. An unpublished fee, an undisclosed loan book or an unaudited reserve is recorded as unpublished, not given the benefit of the doubt.

How a score is read

Each axis is read off the same five bands. They describe what is on the record, not how impressed we are.

9.0–10
Documented and independently verifiable
The claim is evidenced by a published record a third party can check — an attestation, an on-chain contract, a regulator's register — and nothing adverse is on file.
8.0–8.9
Documented, with gaps
Evidence exists but is partial, dated, or covers only part of what the axis measures.
7.0–7.9
Self-reported only
The operator publishes the information and no independent party has verified it.
6.0–6.9
Adverse event on record
A recorded incident, enforcement action or failure that has since been resolved, remediated or repaid.
Below 6
Undocumented or unresolved
No published evidence, or an incident with no resolution on the record. An absence of evidence is scored as an absence.

Fact-card rubric

Best DeFi Vault Curators

This table does not use the evidence bands above. Each firm gets a card of 7 recorded facts, and each fact is converted to points by a fixed table. There is no judgement step.

score = Σ(points) / 10, on a 0–10 scale. A fact without a source scores 0 points and is marked “not recorded”. Equal scores are ordered by tenure: the curator whose first vault is older ranks higher.
