Evernorth Takes XRP to Nasda
Evernorth completed its business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II on Friday, clearing the way for its Nasdaq debut today. Armada shareholders had approved the deal at a special meeting on September 30.
The company enters public markets holding roughly 473 million XRP, alongside about $300 million in gross cash proceeds. Its backers include Ripple, SBI Group, Kraken and Pantera Capital.
One distinction matters for investors: XRP itself is not being listed on Nasdaq. Evernorth is an equity vehicle that offers regulated, stock-market exposure to the token, and analysts note that the listing alone does not create new demand for XRP, since most of the treasury was funded before the debut. XRP currently trades near $1.40, well below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.60.
Bitcoin Consolidates Near $84,000
The broader market is in a holding pattern. Bitcoin briefly moved above $84,000 before slipping back toward $83,500, and total crypto market capitalization sits around $2.9 trillion. The Fear & Greed Index reads 69, which signals greed, though rebound momentum shows signs of fading.
Risk appetite elsewhere has been supportive. The S&P 500 gained more than 1% last week, and the Nasdaq Composite posted its fourth straight weekly advance as concerns about artificial intelligence eased.
Why US Inflation Data Is the Week’s Main Event
Traders now turn to macroeconomic signals. The September Consumer Price Index is due on Wednesday, October 14, and many market participants see it as the most important data point of the week. Producer price figures follow, and third-quarter bank earnings, including Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase, will offer a read on lending and trading activity.
Investors broadly expect the Federal Reserve to leave rates unchanged at its meeting on October 27–28. A hotter inflation print could challenge that view and add volatility to risk assets, including crypto. US bond markets are closed today for Columbus Day, while equity markets remain open.
What to Watch Next
For XRP holders, the key questions are how XRPN trades in its first sessions and whether XRP can stabilize near $1.40 and reclaim $1.50. For the wider market, the CPI release is the likely catalyst. Until then, Bitcoin’s consolidation range around $83,000–$84,000 is the level to follow.
